1 large can of tamatoe juice
4 regular cans of corn
4 cans green beans
2 cans carrots
3 cans sweet peas
3 cans whole peeled potatoes
1 large vedelia (sp) onion ( chopped and dice)
Italian seasoning
2 lbs chuncked up venison , I perfer (1) back strap

drain all juice from canned veggies , toss in crock pot with venison and seasoning and cook on high for 3 or 4 hours

you can also simmer on stove for 2 to 3 hours if you like

I also like to add Mrs.Dash seasoning

You can subsitute canned veggies for fresh or frozen if you like.

That's what my wife calls vegetable soup...

The way I make deer stew is to..

Brown chunked meat & and onion in a skillet in some bacon grease or olive oil... then I will sprinkle it w/ some white flower (this will thicken the stew)... and cook until it's all browned.

Add the mixture to a crockpot (or large pot on stove).. chunk up some potatoes... carrots... celery... maybe another onion... add spices and a container of beef broth &/or some tomato juice to the top of the pot.

Cook all day in the crock pot.. or a couple hours on the stove. I don't like my vegies to be too soft.. But just like chili... it always tastes better the next day.
