I have a friend that put these in his pond. The original fish do get huge. The second generation of these fish are almost like a green sunfish. After two or three years, his pond is full of second and third generation fish, and they are not worth a hoot. He does not recommend them.

Huh...........I guess that might change my mind. I definately don't want that. I currently have hybrid bluegill and really enjoy them. I just thought if a guy could have some 3-4 pounders that would be awesome! Thanks for the info Yaz

He thought they where 60 or 80 cents a piece for 3-6 inch fish.

I looked into these as well and 6 years ago. I was told they eat alot and require intensive feeding.
