Birds are decoy shy but we scratched out a couple really nice drakes. Pretty fun morning worked a lot of birds just couldn't get them to finish.

Working the birds is what's its all about in my opinion. Sounds like it was a good time. Do you think they were local birds?

Ya they had been shot at a few times! We pulled our spread after a couple groups worked and bugged out. When we only hunted to MOJO and 12 deaks the birds came right in!

So many times late in the year I've only put out a half dozen and it seemed to work better. congrats on the birds.

When the going gets tough , go 180 degrees from what everyone else is doing .
If everyone else is setting big spreads in big water , set a small spread in small water . Be surprised how birds respond when they see something different from what they are seeing everywhere they go .
