Electric vs. Gas - 06/27/2012 03:49 PM

I am in the market for a utility vehicle that I can transverse field and woods while in the company of my wife. So realistically I am looking for a suped-up golf cart. What can any of you tell me about them?

Not sure exactly what you're asking. But, I have a Bad Boy Buggy (electric) and it's absolutely wonderful from the standpoint of being very, very quiet. We've driven up on turkey, deer and ducks without them knowing we were there. But, the Buggy weighs almost 1,800 pounds and there is limited range with the battery charge. If you get it stuck, you can't push it out so that can be an issue depending on where you intend to take it. And then, eventually the eight batteries will wear out and that's a big investment also. I don't have the independent suspension so it can get a little rough it rough terrain. I went for quiet and it was the right choice for my wife and I.

I will say the RZRs are very cool vehicles and can go just about anywhere.
