Bullet Puller - 01/07/2015 05:42 PM

anyone recommend a good bullet puller? I bought a Franklin Arsenal Impact Puller. Pulled 1 bullet from a 5.56 case. went to do the second and the thing broke. striking a wood block and made sure everyhing was tight. I have a bunch to pull and need something that will hold up.
Thanks in advance.

I've had good success with the impact type. I did break one before I learned how to use 'em. I swung it like a hammer, following through like driving a nail. Found out if swing fast and let it bounce, the inertia of the bullet would carry it forward out of the case.

Of course, you may have gotten a defective one.

I use an old Quinetics inertia puller. Just got a new collette for it that allows you to not totally disassemble the hammer to get the contents out. Just twist a half turn and dump out for next one. Some bullets are harder to get out and take a few wacks. The bounce is what gets em moving.
