Thanks guys! He's definitely the biggest, prettiest, and most satisfying bird I've ever taken.

I'm having this bird mounted in full body strut.... with a plaque in memory of my best friend Mike Romer! If it wasn't for him, I would not have ever had a chance at this gorgeous majestic bird. I miss ya buddy!!

I don't recall too many, myself.
But I also only watch THIS Indiana hunting site wink

Re: My 2014 Spring Gobbler - 05/05/2014 07:33 PM

Thanks y'all

Unfortunately it looks like I have to find a new taxidermist in order to get my Turkey mounted. Never thought I'd have that issue again...

So any good Turkey guys out there that y'all might know of and recommend?
Thx

Ernie,

Here is the best around for turkeys IMO. Be about 2 hr drive for you though. I think Jeremy French does the best on deer but not sure if he's doing turkeys yet or not.

UPDATE

Well I got THE call today....
Mine&Romer's 2014 Wild Turkey is done, and ready for pick up! laugh
Will be going down this weekend to pick him up, since it is a good 2hrs from here.

I told them that his neck was not solid red like a lot of mounts that I see... and I wanted more blue in the neck. So after freeze drying and painting, they sent me a couple pics to see what I thought.... and I think it looks purty darn good.

Can't wait to see the whole bird now!
