bug killer for deer

I have taken deer that had ticks on them . And were I hunt has ticks , what can we do to stop and kill ticks on us and on deer ? Yes there are sprays for the yard , I have not heard of sprays for the woods . Tractor supply has a beef cattle feed with bug killer it would that work for deer to eat ? Or a oil we could put on trees that deer could rub on as cattle do and protect them? Thanks

I know some of the deer mineral supplements advertise that they help get rid of ticks on deer. We rarely have many ticks here locally, so I've never tried them.
