Helping deer - 01/05/2018 05:52 PM

Today I took my 4 wheeler and plowed 6" of snow off of several food plots so the deer wont have to dig in order to eat. Put out a manger with alfalfa hay and fired up the corn feeder. Deer should be set for the winter now. If you guys have ground or lease for hunting dont forget to help the survivors thru the winter. h.h.

Good work. They can tolerate a lot of adverse weather, but but this is shaping up to be possibly a rough winter for deer & other critters. Hopefully we'll get some warmer temps and melting snow next week.

Lay some cedar on the ground Deer go crazy over them they love the tops . Plus it’s cover now and I’ve seen turkey nest under the fallen trees later .Not to mention it’s a natural food and free
