Started with 3 choices, narrowed to 2... and made final decision yest.

Bo in 13 years I have had 2 cva and both are tack drivers. I do have to ask why retire ol faithful you call it that for a reason?

Bo, you getting the LR or the standard barrel?

986... moving back to .50cal, wanting a "speed breech", better optics with increments, and wanting away from the "silver" look!

Eric, I went with the std 27" barrel.

the speed breach plug just makes it sooo easy. Hunting with a muzzleloader has never been better!

Looks sweet! My bargain cave model CVA Wolf does not have that coating. =)

If I do my part, it will shoot a 1.5 inch 100 yd group though. I switched to Blackhorn 209 (Huge difference over 777) and Federal 209A shotgun primers with hornady bullets.

I have been thoroughly impressed with CVA muzzleloaders the past few years.

Looking forward to see how its going to shoot!!!!
I see a road trip in the near future
