I talked to a lot of folks that aren't finding any in their normal spots and are giving up.

Five different spots I've checked that are usually loaded, but have found zero so far. Something to do with last year's severe drought maybe? This spring seems to have been perfect with plenty of moisture and no late freezes. I plan to keep re-checking for another week or two though!

I never saw any pics posted of the early black ones this year. Anyone find any of those?

Hunted family farm in Crawford/Orange Cos. last Sat. and only found 30. 5 yellows and the rest grays. Never found any in spots where I have found them in the past..........weird.

Found the first few of the year. 5 total and my 8 yr old sidekick gave up! Oh well! He found the first two and the first he has ever found!

I hope to get back out!

Found 15 or so over at Mississinewa this afternoon. One woods the small yellows were starting to dry up, the other one all we found was a couple very fresh greys right on the edge of the woods. Came back home in Cass County and found 10 fresh yellows at the county park. We got a good soaking rain last evening in cass. Buddy of mine found a sinkfull today at his property. Still waiting on my invite there this year lol.
