Lake Erie - 06/09/2018 12:35 PM

Went to a friends place on Lake Erie for a couple days last week. We caught limits of walleye each day trolling stinger spoons. Most fish ran 16" with a couple 25". Im going back in a couple weeks to troll the reefs at night. h.h.

Little ones were 16", the biggest 24". We fished a school of walleyes that were close to shore, maybe 3 miles out and they were running most 16-17". h.h.

Perfect eating size.

With that much color on those fish, the water must be pretty clear.

Actually the water was dirty due to a big blow they had a couple days before I went. The water in Erie has cleaned up over the years due to the zebra mussels. Lake Erie is the walleye capital of the world and only 2 1/2 hours away. It takes more time to drive there than it does to catch a limit of fish. Im going back on the full moon of this month to troll at night for some big boys. h.h.
