Dave,

I was on a smaller local lake Sunday afternoon. Surface temps were right at 60. I was back in some coves looking for bait, and did not see any signs of gills on the nest yet.. Might be a little closer on the farm ponds.

Up here in a normal year its usually mid-late May when they bed. This year it definitely will be later. h.h.

no sign yet...usually around mothers day but this year going to be later like HH said.

They are biting though! LOL! We had a great day on Sunday. I cleaned 16 beautiful gills.

Just got back from KY lake Red Ear and B Gill are on 25 bags of Blue gill and Red Ear and 11 bags of Catfish in 4 days,, eggs are coming out of the fish when you touch them moving on the bank as we speak

Surface temps are close to 70. I caught several up shallow Thursday night throwing for shad. Its real close now.

They are starting to stack up on the bank on my lake.. just about fly rod time!
