Going to set the goal of hunting with my recurve this Fall. It has been almost 20 years. I guess it is just time for a change.

I have a Mamba that shoots your typical #55 at 28". I have to get just about everything new. I was shooting 29" arrows and using 100 grain points and it was just feeling funny and shooting weird. I dug out some old 125 grains and, man, that made a huge difference. DUH moment. I should have known better.

What is your setup? I would like to know what broadheads and weight you shoot.

Should be interesting.

I'm hunting with a 60" Roy Hall Apache Longbow. 49# at my draw length. Using 30" 1916 aluminum arrows with 5" shield cut feathers and 125 gr NAP **** Razor broadheads.

Killed several deer with this set up, mostly off the ground.

Goal this year is to kill a nice buck with my longbow.
