This weekend Meijers is offering a free youth license for deer, In Indiana it will include all species as Meijer's will pay up to $20.00.

Taking the 10/11 yr olds out for a youth hunt. I'm told they can use an apprentice license prior to taking the hunter Ed class. Is this correct and what license will they need? I'm a LTL guy so buying licenses is a bit foreign to me in IN at least. Thx so much for your reply.

They can hunt up to three years as an apprentice before they need the Hunter Ed course. When you buy the license online buy the youth apprentice license.

yes, my son hunted on an apprentice license for 3 years then did hunter ed at age 10
