Question about License Exemptions????

Hey guys,
Just want some clarification on license exemption. From what I read, I am exempt from needing to have a hunting license since I will be hunting on my families farmland... Correct?

If this is correct, then how do I go about tagging my deer (if I'm lucky enough to get one) and getting it checked?

Indiana Code allows for the landowner, the spouse and dependents living with the landowner to hunt the landowners farmland without a license.

License Exemptions
The following are exempt from license
requirements:
• Residents or nonresidents participating in a
DNR-licensed field trial.
• Resident owners of Indiana farmland or
lessees of Indiana farmland who farm that
land, their spouses and children living with
them, while hunting, fishing or trapping
on the farmland they own or lease. This
exemption does not apply to land owned
by a business, corporation or partnership

Thanks guys. I did read all that. I was just making sure that I understood that correctly.

Anyone have experience if doing this & how do you check the deer? Just take it to a checking station & say your a landowner & got the deer there?

This kind of confusion is why I would be on board for a Landowner Licence where you would have a no. like Life time and youth licence and charge a small fee say 6 dollars like they do youth and get PR money not break any one and avoid all this landowner confusion I would buy one for My wife just for the PR money

Write out a tag like everyone else does. Just indicate on said tag that you are using the landowner tag exemption.
