2018 vs 2017 - 11/13/2018 07:32 PM

Seems like this year is a banner year from the 5 bulletin boards that I frequent. The numbers for Indiana comparison.. can't remember where to find that one. Any help? Is there a day-to-day comparison or week-to-week? Now would be a good time to see where we are at - just before firearms season.

Last year the opener of the firearms season was down 71% as compared to 2016 due to the lousy weather. If the weather forecast holds for this weekend, I fully expect those numbers to end up much closer to "average" this season.

I know you aren't a fan of the firearms season, but I always look forward to it.

thanks for the time zone info.....didnt know that ... as for the firearms season, I dont mind firearms and have killed deer with a ML, Slug Gun and my .44 Black Hawk and out of state with rifles, its just that for myself, I find BOWhunting so much more rewarding and satisfying now .... some of you guys should try firearms season on a heavily pressured F&W area, you'd see what I mean, I know some here do, and it can be "interesting" at times to say the least .. some have their own slice of heaven with private or leased land .... I'll hunt thru thru firearms season, I just stay in the Archery only area...

I killed a doe yesterday morning. Very good movement day in West Central IN.

Re: 2018 vs 2017 - 11/19/2018 05:41 PM

Seems like there is a lot of movement and dead deer compared to last year. I was in the monsoon on opening day 2017 and I can tell you - it was horrendous. I'm going out this weekend after Thanksgiving. Hopefully bucks are still moving.
