Huge place so pick an area and learn it well. There are deer but lots of hunters in places. Pattern the hunters. There's a book by Brad Herndon called "Mapping Trophy Bucks". It will help. There is some great hunting and it is beautiful but if you are used to hunting ag land you will have to adjust some things. Have fun!

Very good book and will help you pick good areas to check out from home looking at topo maps.

This site should help too. Click on the 4 squares basemap gallery in the upper right and click it to "USA Topo maps"
