Monday Hunt - 11/18/2013 04:20 AM
Who is heading out this morning. I've been awake since 2am, and can't get back to sleep. Ready to use this vacation for what it's intended for. Saturday morning I had coyotes everywhere, so i killed 2 before calling it a morning. Saturday evening I had someone sitting on my private property when I was walking to a stand. He didn't really like me too well, and emptied his gun TWICE as he walked out yelling at the top of his lungs to a near by field to meet the dnr. I placed a call, they were at his truck waiting on him. I didn't place charges this time, but geez man. Guys, please only go to where you have permission. It could've been bad for that guy. The co said they could impound hos truck, take his gun, strip him of his rights to hunt, arrest him, and give him a $10k fine! Keep that in mind when you're questioning property lines. So, after a terrible Saturday, terrible weather Sunday, I'm really hoping for a good hunt today! Be safe, and good luck to everyone!

Well, I'm on stand. The once 6 inch deep creek I would cross to my morning stands is now a raging river. Luckily I have a ladder stand set up for this wind on thisside, but it's typically an evening spot. Should be interesting! At least I have the privilege to be hunting this morning! Good luck and be safe.

I'm in my tree stand at brown county state park. It looks like a huge turnout of hunters. It should be a great day.

You are a very nice fellow! In most cases, I would also let a tresspasser off with a warning, but when he started screaming and fireing shots, I would have told the CO to throw the book at him!

Problem is no judge is going to do that unless he his a habitual offender. Courts let so many people off the hook.

The fact that he was firing off shots like he was I would have arrested him for reckless endangerment if I were a CO...

Yesterday my neighbor called and caught him back on his place. Haven't talked to him yet, but knowing the way my neighbor is and how he reacted when I told himwhat happened Saturday, the guy would be lucky to have a truck when he returned that isn't charcoal. Ha. On a bright note, saw some deer last night. Took a mature doe. Shot another coyote this morning walking right where I shot the doe last night. That is 3 coyotes since Saturday.

property lines are not always marked well, honest mistakes happen. Sounds like this clown knew what he was doing and got busted.
Yelling and recklessly firing off shots?? This guy has some serious problems and sounds like a real danger. This could have been bad for YOU.
Remember the tragedy in Wisconsin?

Pse I hunt in Columbus out by etown. People just have no respect for anything. Was it your post where your blind got destoryed and ladder stand taken down? Its a shame regardless. From now on I wont allow them to drive off. I'm going to press charges. Last yr I had a trailcamera stolen.
