Iffy subject. Lets hope it ends so things on our end get halfway back together. Anyone know if the lakes have any federal connection?

I say screw 'em....when they have armed guards keeping WWII vets out of their memorial,,,and armed guards keeping Vietnam Vets out from the "Wall"...it's time to take this Country back. Screw 'em...

Exactly....you can't just trespass just because you disagree with why its closed....
Or be prepared for the outcome if you do!!!

The World War II Memorial is still open to veterans groups – and others who want to move the barriers to get in.
I understand your point though Weed!!!!

If it's CLOSED your then breaking the LAW by hunting there!!!

Gated rec sites are closed, but you don't really close a national forest. Hunt on without worry.

I have heard rumors that people are being told to leave, but find it hard to believe the state is out telling people to stay off federal land. I would think they have more important things to do. I guess anything is possible. I have been hunting HNF for many years and rarely see any authorities there let alone enough to keep people out of 190,000 acres of forestry. Hopefully, it will be cleared up or is all rumor as we head down in a few weeks to camp for a week.

http://intransit.blogs.nytimes.com/...ns-about-visiting-national-forests/?_r=0 It seems that the National Forest are closed for some activities but hunting is not one of them. Go hunting it is not against the law.
"Judi Perez, a spokeswoman for the Hoosier National Forest in Indiana, told The Associated Press that while campgrounds were closed, people could still access the forest because it has no fence"
