Finally got it done in late muzzleloader season... - 12/27/2017 11:57 AM
Shot this buck last Saturday night, Dec. 23rd. Latest I've ever killed a buck in Indiana in almost 40 years of hunting. He came in to one of my standing beans food plots about a half hour before dark. Shot him at 60 yards with my .50 cal Thompson Center Pro Hunter. He didn't make it out of the plot. It was the 45th time I had climbed into a tree or blind. I had 128 hours of actual legal hunting time in to that point. Persistence paid off. Thank you, Lord!...
