Regs question: Actually 2 that will seem like the same.

1. Are you allowed to take non-licensed hunters along with you as long as they don’t carry a weapon? Reason behind ? Is that I have a son-in-law who residence is from another country but resides in TN with my daughter who is in school. He will not hunt but would like to tag along sometime.

2. My nephew (also from a different state) will be here to deer hunt (yes, he has license) and wants to tag along during our trap checks. Can he do so without a trapping license as long as he doesn’t help in any way?

Thanks

I would say yes on both. As far as I know there is no law prohibiting anyone from sitting out in the field public or private without a weapon. I would recommend him wear hunter orange just for safety's sake.

As far as the trapping question goes. As long as he isn't actively assisting you in anyway, then I can not for any reason see how he couldn't tag along. If he is interesting in learning how to trap, then I think it would be a great learning experience for him.

I am not a lawyer and I did not stay in a Holiday Express last night. This is just my humble opinion.

Yes x2, they're simply observers(provided they're not carrying a weapon or taking part of the actual hunt/trap activities, i.e. assisting).
