That's a fine deer, love them double drops. Is there still public land left around Linton? I know Peabody took most if not all of what they had leased to the state back.

thousands of acres. Minnehaha was only one part of it. Most of the remaining is owned by the state of Indiana and we all have access to hunt and fish it!

Nice critter...when they have land to hide and grow, thats what the deer can get to...That pic looks like a north woods lake ..lol.... we dont have any thing close to the habitat up here that is in southern Indiana...Map shows Red Bird...Greene-Sullivan ...Goose Pond all within a easy drive of Linton... tens of thousands of acres to survive in...must be nice ...

Sometimes the best weapon in a public land hunter's arsenal is a boat...or a stealth way into the back door to a public property. I know the spot too. Most easily accessed by boat or private access.
