After a somewhat frustrating gun season with fickle weather and stupid mistakes on my part, I took out the muzzleloader and got my first deer with it. I usually have enough meat by this time so don't exert a whole lot of effort but this year was different. Feeling the pressure of a half full freezer, I was happy to see this guy come in to 50 yards. He definitely saw me as I watched him through the binocs but eventually turned and allowed me the time to get on him. A spine shot and surprisingly calm reload and follow up and he was mine. Thank God.

"The bottom line is, if you shoot something, be proud of it. If you can't be proud of it, don't shoot it. God didn't create any "justs." Neither should bowhunters." -Dwight Schuh
