One guy at 2pm walked 30 yards from base of my tree. He had two rifles, ML and a single shot of some type slung over each shoulder and makin a ton of noise. I had my orange vest zipped around the tree and above my head so it could be seen 360 and an orange cap on. He never saw me. He also walked within 10yards on 2 occasions of two downed deer and did not see them. Granted I was 30 feet but was funny.
Two fellas supposed to be hunting the horsemans area were joyriding, saw my deer in the weeds at 330 and then began sneaking up while looking all around. I had dragged them to within 20 yrds of road near my assigned area, the boat ramp and was retrieving the truck. They acted very nervous when I walked up. I'm fairly certain they were gonna try to steal the deer and my stand! I had already gutted them, cut toungues out and put in my pocket. Ez to ID a toungless deer. Maybe I'm wrong but wow did they act odd and leave quick. If nothing else I know you are not supposed to leave your assigned parking areas.
Takes all kinds I guess
As always though I thoroughly enjoyed my day.
Consistent luck is nothing more than hard work and preparation.

I had a guy do the same thing. Walk around me in the dark while using a gps. He was makingALL kinds of noise and was ignoring my flashing, whistles and even yelled one time. He left and then came back, walked around me 360 - using the gps. I thought he was lost. What happened was that I beat him to the spot and he had already had a climber ready in place, He saw me and while it was dark, he was trying to find his stand. At about 9:30 he came back busted through the brush and left with stand in tow. Got to hand it to him (since I had no idea he had a climber ready), he let me hunt the morning then came back and got his stand. I felt bad for how mad I had gotten. Had no idea he was ready to hunt there. Way it goes and wished I had seen him later.

Sat in the tree for 10 hours seen: nothing. It was fine though. Read a book, listen to cranes sing, and ducks chatter.
As of 3pm only 3 deer checked in and less than half showed up to hunt today.

In probably 7 WW hunts I have only once seen a deer on day two. This is the first yr I couldnt go to the second day. Fairly certain they crawl into holes for the second day! I've always done very well on day one though.
