We definitely have 3 types of bucks show up on our cameras and we have no food plots. Bucks that live on lease year around, bucks I only see during the rut, and bucks that only show up in the summer. Normally 1 big mature buck, maybe 2, and several dinks never leave. All medium aged bucks seem to travel more, but once they become the big man on campus they seem to prefer our place. Seems like one big aggressive buck can keep a pretty big home range to himself and his bachelor group. This was particularly true of the big 6+ year old I had this year. He was a bully and he never left a 500 acre area. Unfortunately he survived an arrow I put in him and he hasn't been moving much since. I hope my dad or grandpa can finish him off. It was a truly painful experience for me to wound a buck I had been watching for 4 years. The cameras told me how to get him, but it made me feel like the first year 4H kid taking his hog or steer to the sale. Sorry for getting a bit off topic.
