If Steele in fact dissents it would be a first on him not supporting high fence hunting! We will take it though!

Do we continue to contact Senator Long and what about Senator Steele?

Don't slow up on contacting people, Thank Senator Long for his support. Senator Steele, ask him to please strip the ammendment as well as your Senator, and PLEASE continue to contact the governor. I don't trust him on this issue at all.

Senator Steele has filed dissent on SB487, we will see where it goes from here...
Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path and leave a trail.

House appointees to Conference Committee:
04/18/2013 House conferees appointed: Lehe and Kersey
04/18/2013 House advisors appointed: Ubelhor, Eberhart, Dvorak and Stemler
As with the Senate some Representatives have received contributions from INDEF.

I am told Senator Steele WILL NOT call the conference committee to a meeting, thus the bill and ammendment dies!
He did present a VERY applicable question as to the future of this issue. No hints or discussion at this time, the opposition watches this site.
We have a plan to address high fence hunting it begins as soon as the present session ends. No longer will sportsmen be on defense...........

We have a plan to address high fence hunting it begins as soon as the present session ends. No longer will sportsmen be on defense........... That's great news.... So if the opposition "watches" this site this is an open question I would like for them to answer.... If your so called industry is such the "big rural economic boost" you claim it is, then why don't you put the numbers up then for all of us to see? Exactly how much have you improved your communities economies?.My opinion is this (and strictly mine alone)... The only "economic boost" you are providing is your own back pocket otherwise, everyone would be doing it. All you are doing is feeding a bunch of lies and paying a bunch of naive legislators to believe you. Well we know the truth and we are not going back down and let you ruin our deer herd with your domesticated deer that we all know is not REAL HUNTING....

Long: Fenced deer hunting bill dead for the session INDIANAPOLIS – The Senate leader said Wednesday that a bill to legalize five fenced deer-hunting preserves is essentially dead for the session. Senate President Pro Tem David Long, R-Fort Wayne, said he wants to let the courts decide whether the preserves – which the state has been trying to close since 2005 – can remain open. “Just go ahead, give us the decision and we’ll live with it,” Long said. http://thestatehousefile.com/long-fenced-deer-hunting-bill-dead-for-the-session/11130/
