My family loves the venison. I was raised on it.
I raised my son on it and finally after 2 of 15 yrs of marriage my wife loves it more than beef. So I have a job every year now. I will take couple does and a yearling doe proudly. My wife hates it if I come home fired up that I seen a BB she knows what that means. Maps study hours and if I succeed on ol guy she don't like old deer taste it is a lil gamey and I do a fair job on prep for gameyness. So yea some still shoot to eat, not that it's a necessity these days. Other than the one you donate to feed the hungry! Call us ol fashion or whatever we like our deer, crappie, wild turkey, and some morels. Maybe a dose of rabbit n squirrel gravy! There is also a good feeling watching your family and friends enjoy something you have taken and prepared. Eat up but save a few!
