HH coyote catch thread.

I'll post here what guys have in their tag lines, and try to get a total. If I'm wrong, or don't have you listed, post your total. I'm guessing we collectively caught 75 or so. What ever it is, lets set next years goals to whack 'em!!!!

You are right Chevy! Best days trapping I had this year were spent with my Dad......
I understand most of you younger guys have young kids, and families to take care of. I still remember all the baseball, basket ball, and other things that takes up a lot of time. Those are obviously more important than setting traps......I'm old.....and those things are just memories now. I'm also fortunate that part of what I do is run around the farm every night taking care of business. That's what allows me to do this.

The way I have it figured, if we can get sticksender to catch
50, and the rest of us average 10 coyotes next year, we can get to 150 next season!!!!!

The "Who's setting traps....." was a great thread. Probably holds the HH all-time record for sheer number of posts. I hope a few more guys will be inspired to jump in and try trapping next season. Makes for a perfect excuse to get outdoors in the dead of winter.

Went to the deer/waterfowl expo on saturday, Just along I-70 from Knightstown to Indy we seen 9 Coyotes in fields along the Hiway.

Got the yaz "blend" out.....hope to have a pic soon

My brother just caught his 5th today and he just started a little over a month ago, I talked him into it. Gonna pick his brain for next season.

Get 'em DP!!!!! Its ugly out there. Had a heck of a time getting around tonight. I'm done come Saturday. Still have a coyote or two around, but they can have it as long as they behave!!! Found where one had bedded close to several sets……They are shedding and pulling hair out.

Put me down for 2, scored another female a week ago Wednesday, just hadn't posted it. Planning some last minute new sets in a woods this week and some calling while this snow is still on.

Last one…Starting to pull stuff over the weekend. I can't believe as wet and cold as it was, I had a steel trap actually fire. Another one in a blind trail set. Back foot catch, but I'll take it!!! Yet another female. Fur was excellent, which is odd for this time of year.

The fur on yours and DP's look really nice. Congrats on the final one.

Updated the total (123) to include another for DP, JKD, and myself. Will include scottrader's sons later. The bar just keeps getting higher for next season!!!!

The situation is terrible. My guy in Michigan said the river is still too tight, maybe next week though. Boat and fly rods are ready to go. My guy in Missouri said the snow goose hunting won't get good, if it gets good til next Tuesday and to forget this weekend. Can't believe I'm sitting with nowhere to go. Maybe ice fishing this weekend.

Updated. Up to 130 guys! DP had a catch, and HoosierNavy had a double bouncing around behind his house last week!!!! We are going to have to up definitely up the goal for next year!!! Running of of season here pretty quick now. Maybe DP can snag one more before its over!!!

My co worker brought in a picture to work him and his brother got 26 yotes in Rush County. You guys SE put a hurtin on them.

Rush Co is where I am catching the Yotes Garman6. Good to hear others are getting them too!! I probably know them.

Yep! Great job! I pulled the my remaining steel traps today now that the ground has thawed out. Just have to go collect some snares I have closed and rolled up on another farm where its still too soft to drive back.

Im pulling my snares today. Poor season for me but I didnt put a lot of effort into it like I have the last couple years. Good job to all you fur catchers! h.h.

Hadn't checked in on the site in a while. I just started trapping coyotes in January, ended up getting two. Hope to add quite a few more next season.
