Youth season birds......

Was an absolute awesome weekend in the woods for us. Hunter and Tanner doubled up Saturday morning on a couple of nice birds that came down the ridge together looking for a girl friend. Pulled the ole "On the count of 3" and they both hit the ground. Captured it on video too, which was just an added bonus. Took Tristan out Saturday evening to roost a bird and then slipped in on him in the dark Sunday morning. A little bit of calling and he pitched down on the ridge down from us and strutted right in.... To top the weekend off, took the boys to a little farm pond Sunday evening and in short time they reeled in 49 nice gills. Only thing the weekend was missing was finding a nice patch of shrooms.

And the tradition continues......you all should be walking on clouds for awhile!!!!! Congrats!!!!!
