coyote rifle question - 11/04/2013 10:45 PM

What are your guys suggestions for good yote rifles at reasonable prices I've been lookin at Remington 770 series but should I get the 270 243 or 30-06??

I would think the 30-06 would be detrimental if you wanted to sell the hide.... .243 or .223 would be my choice if I was doing to it and wanted to sell the hide...

Savage Axis in .223 or .243 would be a good choice. Walmart sells them for around 280.00. h.h.

Don't get a new Remington. An old 700 yes but not the new ones......not good. Savage would be my choice in a new one in a 243 or one of the 22 caliber centerfires. I almost never buy new anymore. An older gently used rig would probably make you much happier.

H&R handi rifle. In a 22-250 or 223. Place good optics on it and you have got a very good accurate coyote gun at a good price.

I have a 77 22-250 Killed several with it , and it flat hammers them where ever you hit them even marginal shot are deadly I have owned a BDL ,ADL 788 Rem,s and a H&R single shot The 77 ruger is the one I now have and would not trade

I've owned a Savage 110 .243 for over 20 years, and and highly recommend them. I got mine before the accu-trigger hit the market, but it's still a great rifle.

Accurate with most any load I put through it. It does have a slight preference for 100 gr. bullets.
